Violoniste

Boris Garlitsky was born in Moscow, and studied with legendary violin professor Y. Yankelevitsh. In 1982, he won the Paganini Competition in Genoa, Italy, and has since appeared in major music festivals in Europe & North America. Garlitsky was a leader of the Moscow Virtuosi, and concertmaster of the Orchestra National de Lyon. As a chamber musician, he has collaborated with P. Zukerman, V. Repin, A. Meneses and T. Mork, among others. Garlitsky has recorded as a soloist for RCA and other labels, and is presently a professor at Paris Conservatory.
